Hands down, 2012 has been my year of concerts. My passion for live music reached a new level at SXSW, but even before mid-March, I attended six shows. It’s the second week of April and tonight’s performance by White Denim* — an extremely talented psychedelic/garage rock band from Austin — at Red Palace will bring the total to numero 13. THIRTEEN!
In college, I sacrificed better-than-Ramen meals for at least five late nights a semester. Now that I’ve have (some) disposable income, I’m going to like five a month. At least I’m not wasting my money on strippers and blow…?**
I have a sickness, y’all. And yes, the only cure is (live) cowbell.
