It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything on here…ever since I jet-setted to Ghana for a much-needed vacation. You can either attribute that to natives chasing me through the jungles or just having way too much fun to sit down and type out my thoughts (hint: it’s definitely the latter).
Anywho, I’ll post a selection of the zillion (more like 1,000) photos I’ve taken sometime next week. In the meantime, enjoy my three favorite American-isms found in my home country:
- photos and paintings of Ludacris (and Chris Brown and Ice Cube) on nearly all the barber shop signs
- the three-floor (yes, THREE floor) KFC in Osu, which I will now refer to as the “African equivalent to DC’s Adams Morgan
- the constant popping of collars on polo shirts — which may serve a purpose: protecting people’s necks from the sun
Only 5 more days left here. It’s been a blast so far, meeting family members for the first time, experiencing life in a developing nation, and finding reasons not to complain about the few things that would normally grind my gears in the U.S.
